Interview with Déjanire, a new recruit at Apave: The richness of the missions, a real guarantee of increased skills

Top News02/10/2023

After the integration of 1,500 talents in 2022, the Apave Group, a major international player in risk management, is continuing its development and launching its new campaign to recruit 1,600 new employees - including 800 permanent employees - in France and abroad.

In line with the ambitions of its 2025 strategic plan, this recruitment plan will support the Group's development projects and the strong growth dynamic that has been underway since 2021.

A great wealth

in environmental missions

Déjanire is an environmental and industrial risk consultant in Marseille. She helps ICPE (Installations Classified for the Protection of the Environment) operators to apply the rules prescribed by the environmental code.

Thanks to the diversity of industrial sites classified for the protection of the environment in the Bouches du Rhône, such as gas pipelines, oil companies, refrigeration facilities, hospitals and fuel storage facilities, Déjanire has been able to develop new skills. The autonomy and richness of the missions are real levers for increasing skills.

A graduate of the Montpellier Higher Institute of Chemistry, Déjanire began as a trainee. Supervised by the group leader, she was able to show her abilities and quickly obtained a fixed-term contract, then a permanent contract.

With the regulations on ICPEs, whether during operation or during the dismantling of exposed sites, real experts are needed to meet both regulatory and customer requirements. Amongst these measures, operators will have to call on a certified design office to certify the safety of the site concerned and its possible rehabilitation.

Since September 2020, SEVESO sites have had new decrees and orders to take into account feedback from the Rouen event (post-Lubrisol system) and to prevent fires in the facilities concerned. All these regulations must be mastered by our experts.
