A subsidiary of the Apave Group, is authorised since 2010 by ministerial order to carry out airworthiness oversight in civil aviation.
As part of the Authority, OSAC issues, monitors, suspends or withdraws approvals of production, maintenance, continuing airworthiness management and maintenance training organisations, as well as aircraft airworthiness documents and aircraft mechanics' licences.
With the agreement of the DGCA, OSAC provides paid inspection and support services to civil and military authorities and certification services to private companies in accordance with ISO 9001, EN 9100 and EN 9120 standards.

Sopemea offers a range of qualification support and testing services for the Aerospace and Defence markets. Sopemea's laboratories are CIR, CII and COFRAC accredited, scope available on www.cofrac.fr - N°1-0090, N°1-0805, N°1-1787, N°1-6748, N°1-1479, N°1-6807, N°1-6808 (in France and UKAS in the UK).
