The Apave Group signs a partnership with AXA Climate and launches "Apave climate school" to train all its employees in sustainable transitions

Apave, an international group with over 150 years of experience in risk management, has signed a partnership agreement with AXA Climate, the AXA Group entity dedicated to climate and environmental adaptation, and is launching the "Apave Climate school".

As part of its drive to step up its commitment to sustainability, Apave wants to give all its employees the skills they need to deal with the challenges of ecological and climate change.

The Apave Group's ambition is to train 100% of its employees in sustainable transitions in order to make them agents of change and enrich the Group's shared culture.

Apave Climate School

Compulsory training modules for employees

Through the Apave Climate School, the Group's 13,500 employees now have access to around thirty e-learning programmes translated into ten languages. Two of them have been made compulsory in order to build a common cultural base: The Great Climate System and Low Carbon Transition.

This partnership reinforces the Apave Group's mission to support transitions in complete confidence and safety, and confirms the need for training to achieve these objectives. As a leader in vocational training, Apave is using this major initiative to give itself the resources it needs to fulfil its ambitions, so that the commitments it makes as a citizen or employee have an impact on its customers and local communities.

Understanding in order to act more effectively: this is the ambition we have set ourselves at Apave. I'm delighted to be able to offer all the Group's employees the opportunity to take part in training courses designed to help them better understand the issues and consequences of climate change, and to play their part in this transition. In addition to the compulsory modules that we have defined with the Executive Committee, I have no doubt that the most willing will be able to demonstrate their diligence and commitment.

Making CSR

a pillar of development

This partnership feeds into one of the 5 pillars of the Apave Group's new CSR strategy, aimed at achieving safer, more sustainable, more collective and more inclusive progress for both its employees and its customers. The entire Top Management team also created a giant Climate Fresco at the end of September 2023 to embody this change.

"Helping the Apave Group to provide its employees with better training on climate issues is at the heart of the ecosystem approach that is so important to AXA Climate. By helping to train specialists in risk management, certification, inspection and training, we are helping to ensure that end customers take greater account of climate risk. We hope that the deployment of Climate School and Climate Brief within the organisation will enable the rapid adoption of these new 'climate reflexes', which need to become widespread within businesses", explains Antoine Denoix, CEO of AXA Climate.

This training on the challenges of climate change will be supplemented by training on the Apave Group's commitments in terms of Social and Environmental Responsibility.
