The HOT Lo-To-To approach based on the EN17975 standard for safer maintenance
During maintenance operations on installations in use, risks linked to energy and fluids are present.
It is essential to control every type of energy to guarantee the safety of your teams and the performance of your operations. Apave's HOT Lo-To-To approach transforms compliance requirements into sustainable risk management and operational excellence.
Based on European standard EN17975, which sets out guidelines for managing the risks associated with energy and fluids during maintenance operations, our experts will support you within a structured and proven framework.
In this context, Apave offers organizational consulting, training and technical support services as part of its HOT Lo-To-To offer.
Apave supports you with HOT Lo-To-To and the EN17975 standard
The EN 17975 standard provides guidelines for controlling the risks associated with energy and fluids during maintenance operations. It operates on a voluntary basis.
This means :
- Taking into account all energies, and therefore the specific problem of managing several simultaneous risks
- During all maintenance operations (preventive, curative, work), including routine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, adjustment, etc.),
- by technical departments, outside contractors, production operators, etc.
- The standard covers many more aspects than the simple Lo-To or Lo-To-To approach (lock-out, tag-out, try-out), integrating organizational, technical and human dimensions (skills, behavior). It is thus articulated with maintenance processes and safety management.
Apave, the leader in this standard, has been developing expertise in this field for several decades, and has put together a range of "HOT Lo-To-To" services (HOT = Human Organizational Technical):
- Organizational consulting services, including a complete diagnosis of your practice,
- Training (mostly adapted to our standards) and coaching.
