The Apave group strengthens its support of the nuclear industry in Europe and announces the acquisition of Numip

12/14/2022
Apave, an international group with more than 150 years of experience, specialising in the management of technical, environmental, human and digital risks, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Numip, a Slovenian company specialising in the engineering, construction, maintenance and production of nuclear power plants and treatment plants.

The place of nuclear power in the French, European and global energy mix is at the heart of current events, whether linked to geopolitical issues or to the necessary decarbonisation of the economy. Faced with these major challenges, many countries have decided to accelerate the construction of new reactors and to strengthen maintenance operations in order to extend the life of existing reactors. The existence and even the development of cutting-edge expertise in nuclear technologies, processes and equipment are key to the success of these policies.

In line with its strategic plan for 2025, the Apave Group is pursuing its growth through external acquisitions and new partnerships, particularly in the energy sector, which has been identified as a priority development sector for the group. The acquisition of the majority of Numip's capital will enable the Apave Group to strengthen its activities in the nuclear sector in Europe, and more widely on a global scale in the context of projects carried out by international clients. Numip's skills, accreditations and geographical positions are complementary to those of the Apave Group. This acquisition, a source of synergies, will promote the development of innovative solutions for a successful energy transition.
