Through our ‘1Formation1métier’ programme, we implement tailor-made training courses to meet recruitment needs in all professions where there is a shortage of labour. In the nuclear sector, more than 10,000 recruitments per year are planned between now and 2033. The professions involved in nuclear power stations are little known, and yet there is a great need for electricians, welders, pipe fitters, industrial laggers, etc. Our role is therefore to make our skills and training centres available to our clients to help them improve the skills of their employees and/or train new recruits in these professions.
With 25 CEFRI-certified branches close to client sites, Manpower is a key player in decarbonisation and employment in the nuclear sector throughout Belgium.
Manpower has been a preferred HR partner of Altrad for almost 3 years, particularly for the recruitment of specific skills in two areas of expertise: the assembly of insulation and the assembly of scaffolding in nuclear environments. Two professional environments with tension and labour shortages.
At Manpower, our job is to support and develop human potential and find people jobs! This is also the whole point of our ‘MyPath® / Agent des Talents’ programme, which is aimed at motivated people who wish to embark on training courses in growth professions. For this project, the 10 candidates were not recruited on the basis of their CVs but on their potential and their interpersonal skills, which are essential qualities for meeting Altrad's specific needs. After 9 months of training, they all obtained their diploma (a professional qualification) and a job.

After 9 months of training, the 10 candidates recruited by Manpower have all obtained their diploma (a professional qualification) and a job to boot! A real success for the retraining of these young people. A first for this training course, which is being carried out in the Valence d'Agen region (82) and which will be rolled out throughout France near the main nuclear sites and Apave training centres.
