Apave teams have been working on the structures managed by the Massif Central DIR, carrying out periodic detailed inspections of the various bridges and viaducts.
Focus on the Violette Viaduct, which is 75 metres high and 564 metres long. This viaduct sees more than 20,000 vehicles per day and is one of the structures requiring increased surveillance.
The mission undertaken enabled all the pathologies of the structure to be mapped and recorded. The data collected is interpreted by our engineers and allows a detailed analysis of the condition of the structure. The project owner can thus better anticipate the actions to be taken for optimal protection of the structure.
Our teams have put in place specific resources: negative footbridge, connected glasses, drone and rope access technicians who are real concrete climbers!
A look back at this mission, which took place over several months on the A75 motorway between Clermont-Ferrand and Béziers.
Ensuring the durability of structures is a mission of trust for our clients.
