Corporate09/12/2025
Apave Group, the French global leader in risk management with over 150 years of expertise, proudly announced the inauguration of two major facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: a new regional office in Riyadh, inaugurated on September 8, 2025, and a state-of-the-art Apave-Lonestar Laboratory in Dammam, opened on September 9, 2025. The events were attended by Apave Group CEO, Mr. Philippe Maillard; Apave KSA Managing Director, Eng. Meshaal Al Harthi; regional directors from Apave, and representatives from both governmental and private entities, celebrating this significant milestone for Apave and Saudi Arabia’s industrial and infrastructure sectors.

During the inauguration ceremonies, guests had the unique opportunity to visit the new Riyadh office and tour the newly opened laboratory in Dammam. The laboratory visit included a detailed technical presentation delivered by the Apave team, showcasing its divisions, advanced equipment, and innovative testing capabilities. Some guests were offered exclusive tours of the advanced laboratory infrastructure, then explored thematic stands highlighting Apave’s expertise, and that of its subsidiary Lonestar, where specialists were available to answer questions and demonstrate the wide range of solutions on offer.

The Dammam laboratory comprises several specialized sectors, including mechanical, corrosion, and chemical testing, supported by cutting-edge instrumentation for industrial, environmental, and structural analyses. Divisions also include civil engineering testing, geotechnical studies, environmental tests, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, and food and water microbiological testing — serving the critical needs of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Apave KSA

Established in 2022 with an initial workforce of just 25 employees, Apave KSA has witnessed rapid growth and now boasts more than 150 professionals, including engineers, technicians, and experts. In less than three years, Apave has contributed to major projects across the Kingdom, including in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, reflecting its commitment to safety, excellence, and knowledge transfer in engineering and risk management. Apave is part of the Kingdom’s IDI program throughout the Kingdom, a program that aims to manage and prevent technical risks in all new constructions.

The new Dammam laboratory, a €3,5 million investment spanning approximately 600 square meters, is a landmark addition to Apave’s offering in Saudi Arabia. Equipped with advanced instrumentation such as ICP-OES technology for trace element analysis, a Carbon Sulfur Analyzer for metals, and tools for air quality and environmental monitoring, the facility expands Apave’s scope from inspection to broad mechanical, corrosion, and chemical testing. With more than 30 testing solutions, it meets the needs of the Kingdom’s critical infrastructure, providing reliable and accurate results for industrial clients.

"The inaugurations of the recent days confirm the Apave Group's desire to continue accelerating its development within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The complementary nature of our technical inspection engineers and experts and our new Apave-Lonestar laboratory now gives us a new capacity to support the region's economic development even more broadly.

The needs are immense. Apave will support the success of all projects thanks to its in-depth knowledge of the country and the strength of its international network," says Philippe Maillard, CEO of the Apave Group.
