Socamel Group markets tray trolleys to institutions, particularly hospitals, in more than 50 countries. This results in the delivery of more than 3 million meals every day.
The latest flagship product is the connected trolley: the maintenance and reheating of dishes is carried out with on-board technology that allows hot and cold preparations on trays in the same trolley to be brought to and maintained at the right temperature, before and during service.
These trolleys thus meet specific electrical safety requirements.
Watch the video to hear from Laurent Courneil, CEO of Socamel Group, and Xavier Schmitt, Electrical Product Certification Manager, the sole Apave representative for the various services provided.
Apave offers comprehensive expertise, covering the entire process of bringing these trolleys to market: from design to certification, via its subsidiaries Sopemea and Apave Certification:
- Sopemea, a specialist in testing, carries out electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests.
- Apave Certification issues CB certificates, which are internationally recognised, and assists Socamel Group in obtaining the CE marking, which is essential for the European market.
This synergy enables Socamel Group to guarantee the conformity of its connected forklifts and to meet European and international standards.
In 2023, Socamel Group was awarded the Label Longtime, issued by Apave Certification, recognising the durability and repairability of its connected forklifts.
This recognition is a testament to Socamel's commitment to its customers for more responsible production.
