Climate School
industry leader in digital climate training
Founded in 2021 and based in Paris, Climate School is the industry leader in raising employee awareness of sustainable transition challenges. With a team of over 50 professionals, Climate School supports more than 250 major accounts—including over half of the CAC 40—both in France and internationally. To date, its training programmes have reached more than 8 million employees worldwide.
The Climate School offering is built on a leading catalogue of digital and hybrid training content, renowned for its scientific rigour. Available in nine languages, the content is designed for every level of an organisation. This core curriculum is enhanced by specialised modules designed to address specific strategic priorities, such as Net Zero School, which focuses on decarbonising high-emission sectors, and Green HR, tailored specifically for human resources leadership. Climate School also provides bespoke consultancy, including executive committee (ExCom) briefings and interactive workshops designed to support organisations through their strategic transformations in response to climate change.
Supporting sustainable transitions
a growth driver at the heart of the AMPLIFY 2030 strategic plan
This acquisition is fully aligned with the Apave Group’s AMPLIFY 2030 strategy, which aims to establish the Group as a global leader of industrial and operational risk management, recognised for the excellence of its expertise.
Risk prevention—particularly climate-related risks—and the demand for sustainability consultancy (ESG, decarbonisation) are core strategic pillars for Apave Impact, the Group’s dedicated subsidiary.
By integrating Climate School, Apave Impact expands its offering and gains a truly global reach. The Apave Group is now uniquely positioned to support its clients throughout their entire transformation journey, from initial employee awareness to the implementation of concrete sustainable solutions. This milestone paves the way for significant synergies and strengthens the Group’s ability to address the strategic challenges of sustainable transitions.
This acquisition follows years of collaboration; since 2023, Climate School has helped Apave deploy a dedicated sustainable transition training programme for its 18,500 employees worldwide. This deal integrates a team of recognised experts and a powerful ESG brand whose proven content creation methodology offers significant potential for development in new and emerging risk areas
The acquisition of Climate School sits at the heart of our AMPLIFY 2030 strategic plan and provides new momentum for Apave Impact. In the face of the climate emergency and the transformations organisations must undergo, the integration of the Climate School team and their cutting-edge expertise is a major asset. By joining Apave Impact, they enhance our ability to provide innovative, practical solutions for our clients' most complex decarbonisation projects, positioning Apave as the partner of choice for sustainable transitions.
"After five years of profitable growth, joining the Apave Group opens a clear new horizon: supporting the reduction of climate risk. Beyond lowering emissions, all companies now face the same imperative to reduce their exposure to climate hazards. The Apave Group’s engineering and risk management expertise will allow us to deploy ambitious training programmes dedicated to climate change adaptation," explained Antoine Poincaré, Managing Director of Climate School.
"Climate School was born from the strong conviction that the ecological transition cannot happen without large-scale training for those who drive businesses every day. Five years later, we are proud to have helped build a leading European player. This transaction validates AXA Climate's ability to identify and develop profitable, high-potential businesses within the climate and environmental adaptation market, and we will continue to pursue this ambition," added Antoine Denoix, Chairman and CEO of AXA Climate.
