Reducing electricity consumption and promoting renewable energy

To deliver on its decarbonisation targets, the Apave Group is focusing on three major Energy priorities:

Reducing electricity consumption at its sites, notably through the Real Estate Master Plan implemented since 2022;
Transitioning to green electricity contracts;
Installing solar panels for on-site self-consumption.

Photovoltaic installations at Group sites in Rennes (France), Cholet (France), the United Kingdom, Tunisia, India, and Italy generated 360,000 kWh, preventing approximately 79 tonnes of CO₂e.

Alongside this, the transition to green electricity in 2025 generated just over 960,000 kWh, representing a reduction of approximately 112 tonnes of CO₂e.

Overall, by 2025, the Apave Group’s Energy initiatives will have prevented carbon emissions equivalent to approximately 404 round-trip flights between Paris and Madrid.

Marseille, Practical actions to reduce the site’s environmental footprint

In Marseille, the school principal oversees energy efficiency and day-to-day operations.
Several levers were used to improve Energy eff iciency: switching to LED lighting (car parks and corridors), roof waterproofi ng combined with upgraded insulation, and optimising heating and cooling systems through enhanced maintenance monitoring.

We systematicallyuse maintenance Windows to go further: upgrading equipment, optimising what we have, and promoting more responsible practices—from the building itself to our green spaces.
