The Apave Group announces the strengthening of its stake in Certifer, world leader in the assessment and certification of rail and guided transport

Apave, an international group with over 150 years of experience, specialised in the management of technical, environmental, human and digital risks, today announced that it has increased its stake in Certifer to 70%.

Founded in 1997 in Valenciennes, Certifer has become in just a few decades, after more than 10 international acquisitions and strong organic growth, a world leader in conformity assessment and certification of railway and urban transport equipment and systems.

 

With a presence in nearly 60 countries, 800 employees and experts and more than 30 accreditations, Certifer has an undisputed reputation in the guided land transport sector, with a wide range of Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) services, complemented by training and consultancy activities. Certifer's teams have completed more than 10,000 projects on 5 continents, and have nearly 1,000 other projects underway. Certifer has been involved in a number of emblematic projects, including all the French high-speed railway lines since 2002, HS2 in the UK, the high-speed rail line (LGV) in Morocco, Rail Baltica, the metro for the Universal Expo 2020 in Dubai, the tramway for the Rio Olympic Games and the NEOM project.
