FOND ROUTIER DU CAMEROUN
Fonds Routier du Cameroun contracted with Apave and our Cameroon subsidiary, ADRH Apave, to audit government contracts and road work completed during 2005 and 2006. The purpose of the audit is to verify that road-building funds in Cameroon were used appropriately and in keeping with rules for awarding international contracts. Fonds Routier du Cameroun receives international funding from various donors, such as the World Bank.
The following services were provided: - Selection of audit samples · - Evaluation of technical dossiers and consultant services - Verification of monitoring and inspection methods · - Audit of performance quality and the cost of works and supplies · - Assessment of the Fonds Routier’s organization
Apave assigned five highway engineers to the audit for six months of on-site work during fiscal years 2005 to 2007. The engineers had the technical, organizational and financial expertise to verify that Cameroon road projects funded by donors such as the World Bank were performed in accordance with professional best practices and within budget limitations. Apave provides this kind of institutional support regularly for national entities in Africa.
